Eligibility

Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be one of the following:

  • Citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Tibetan Refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement
  • Person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement

Note: Non-Indian citizens must produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India during the Interview.

Age Limit (As on 01.07.2025)

Minimum: 20 years, Maximum: 30 years (candidates must be born between 02.07.1995 and 01.07.2005, both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government, as on 21.07.2025.

  • Candidates must possess a valid Mark-sheet/Degree Certificate establishing that they are graduates on the closing date of registration (21.07.2025).
  • CGPA/OGPA scores must be converted to a percentage and indicated in the online application. Documentary evidence (e.g., conversion formula from the university) must be provided during document verification.
  • Some participating banks may require working knowledge of computers, as the job involves digital banking operations.
  • Certain banks may mandate proficiency in the official language of the State/UT where vacancies are available. Candidates may need to demonstrate the ability to read, write, and speak the local language during the Interview.
  • The degree must be from a University/Institution recognized by UGC or other statutory bodies. Provisional certificates are not acceptable unless supported by final degree documentation.

Note: Candidates awaiting final results as of 21.07.2025 are not eligible. Ensure all educational documents are ready for verification during the Interview process.

Salary

The starting basic pay for IBPS PO/MT is approximately ₹36,000–₹42,000 per month, depending on the bank. Additional allowances include:

Job Location

Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad, based on the requirements of the participating bank. The position is part of an All India cadre, and transfers are possible during the service period.

Selection Process

The selection process for IBPS PO/MT-XV 2025 consists of three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination: A 1-hour online test with three sections. Candidates must qualify in each section by securing cut-off marks.
  2. Main Examination: An online test with objective and descriptive sections. Marks obtained in the Main Exam are considered for shortlisting.
  3. Personality Test & Interview: Conducted by participating banks, with a maximum of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 40 (35 for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).

  • Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Exams.

    • Left Thumb Impression (20kb–50kb)
    • Handwritten Declaration (50kb–100kb, text: “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid…”)
    • SSC/10th Certificate (100kb–300kb)
  4. Pay the application fee online and verify all details.
  5. Submit the application and save the e-receipt and application form for future reference.

Note: Ensure a stable internet connection during application submission. Applications must be completed in one session, as partial submissions cannot be saved.
